Dortmund suffer shock loss to Bochum despite Haaland hat-trick - Reuters

DORTMUND, Germany, April 30 (Reuters) - VfL Bochum scored twice in the final nine minutes, including an 85th-minute penalty through Milos Pantovic, to snatch a 4-3 victory at Borussia Dortmund in the Bundesliga on Saturday and make sure they stay up.
The result kept Dortmund a point short of securing second spot with two games remaining, with the Ruhr valley club in second place on 63, eight ahead of third-placed Bayer Leverkusen, who host Eintracht Frankfurt on Monday.
Sensational Freiburg are also on 55 after climbing to fourth following their thrilling 4-3 win at Hoffenheim. RB Leipzig, who are fifth on 54, travel to Borussia Moenchengladbach on Monday.

The top four teams qualify for next season's Champions League group stage. Bayern Munich, who secured their 10th straight league title last week, are on 75 following their 3-1 loss to Mainz 05.
In a seven-goal, drama-filled encounter Erling Haaland scored a hat-trick to carry Dortmund from 2-0 down to lead 3-2.
Visitors Bochum got off to a dream start in their local derby and were 2-0 up by the eighth minute thanks to goals from Sebastian Polter and Gerrit Holtmann.
The hosts quickly recovered and pulled a goal back with Haaland's 16th-minute penalty.
The Norwegian was far from done and he bagged his second with another spot kick on the half-hour mark.
The 21-year-old thought he had completed their comeback with a tap-in and a lucky bounce in the 62nd but Bochum came back once more, levelling though Juergen Locadia in the 81st and Pantovic's penalty for their first win at Dortmund since 1998.

Bergeron Pots Hat Trick to Hit 400-Goal Milestone - NHL.com
The Cap Hits 400
Bergeron played what is likely to be hi final game of the regular season Thursday night and made sure to make it a memorable one. The Captain will surely enter the playoffs well rested and on a high note, scoring his 400th career goal on his third goal of the night which came with just over two minutes left in the final period. The tally marked his eighth career hat trick and makes him just the fourth player in team history to score 400 goals with the team, joining Johnny Bucyk (545), Phil Esposito (459), and Rick Middleton (402).
"On the face-off, I fell. I was trying to get back up 'cause we had a play set up," said Bergeron. "But Charlie [McAvoy] made an amazing pass, a great read on that one and when I got the puck, I knew I probably had a little bit of time to get a shot off and a great screen in front lot of bodies there and it trickled in."
Bergeron was given a small window from Coach Cassidy to cap the hat trick and prevent wearing him out when the B's were up by four with only two minutes left.
"It's funny, I put him out there for the draw and said, listen, if it doesn't happen here quick, let's get off....it happened quick," said Cassidy. "I'm happy for him."
Bergeron's first two goals both came in the second period which gave the B's a 2-0 lead after a scoreless first. While the hats were flying onto the TD Garden ice in celebration, it was a special moment for the 36-year-old to reflect on the success he's had with the Bruins - and the Bruins only.
"The one thing that's special is I scored all the goals with the Bruins," said Bergeron. "I think that's the biggest thing for me that I take out of it, it's been a great ride with one organization.'"
Bergeron credited his teammates when it comes to each milestone he's been able to reach. "For me, those milestones are always based on the help of your teammates and what they do when you accomplish that," said Bergeron. "To share that with them and for them to have that reaction was great, it was special and I very much appreciate it."
While the milestones are great, Bergeron's main focus is on the result of the game and helping the team succeed. "For me, the biggest thing is wins and losses and the details in the things you want do to help your team the most," said Bergeron.

Pastrnak Ends Drought On Milestone
David Pastrnak earned his 40th goal on the season and at the same time ended the Bruins 0-for-39 power play drought. Pastrnak's tally came just two minutes into the second period off a feed from Taylor Hall and gave the B's a 3-0 lead over the Sabres. Pastrnak leads the B's in goals with 40, with Brad Marchand after him at 32. It is the winger's second career 40-goal season.
With Pastrnak's goal coming on the man advantage, the Bruins are happy to move on from the burden that was hanging over them for nearly a month. "It was nice to just kind of end it and we can move forward," said Bergeron. "Especially right before playoffs, I think it's perfect timing."
The B's had come very close to scoring on the power play, but close was not good enough for Bergeron. "It's a league where you demand the best out of yourself, and I think you want results," said Bergeron. "Being close is obviously not good enough after a while and you want to take it upon yourself to be better and I thought it was just great to get that goal."
For Cassidy, he hopes ending the drought now will free the guys up heading into the playoffs. "Hopefully tonight that loosened some guys up, and that carries forward," said Cassidy.
Taylor Hall also scored on the power play just two minutes after his assist on Pastrnak's goal after Buffalo was unsuccessful on an offside challenge for the second time in the game and was tagged with a four-minute delay of game penalty. It was Hall's 20th goal of the season.

Ullmark Shuts Out Sabres
Linus Ullmark also recorded his first shutout with the Bruins and it came against former team. "There was a lot of emotions obviously playing your old team and puts a little bit more special feelings towards it," said UIlmark.
It was a timely shutout as Ullmark noted the importance of carrying some momentum into the postseason. "You don't want to end the regular season on a losing skid with no confidence and stuff like that, so obviously it's a plus in my book," said Ullmark.
Ullmark stopped 37 shots Thursday night, and while he celebrates that, Ullmark is already onto the next. "I'm focused for what's to come now," said Ullmark. "Regular season doesn't mean anything when you get into playoffs."
Ullmark was also proud of his postgame celebration buddy, Jermey Swayman, who took home NESN's 7th Player Award.
"I wouldn't wish for anyone else to have it," said Ullmark. "He's been putting in the work every single day, been a great teammate and he's been putting up the numbers as well and winning games for us on a regular basis, I think I might be the happiest guy about it."

Last One Before the Dance
The B's lineup will look a little different heading into their final game of the regular season on Friday in Toronto. As of Thursday night, no offical lineup changes were provided by Cassidy, but with some planned maintenance days, and a few "bumps and bruises" around the dressing room, it is likely that some of Boston's regulars will sit out the tilt against Toronto.
"No one looks like they'll be out any length of time, but there might be a few 24-48 hour injuries in there that we'll have to adjust our lineup if necessary," said Cassidy.
Things are coming down to the wire, and the B's still don't know for sure who they will face in the first round which has the Bruins busy with scouting both Toronto and Carolina.
"We're watching Tampa, only because that's the only team we can catch," said Cassidy. "I think you're getting a tough matchup no matter what. Every team probably handles it differently but we've said in our case, let's be playing our best hockey when we can and be healthy and try to manage your workload for your players that play a lot, so we're sticking to that plan."
Should the B's face Toronto in the first round, the B's will still head back home to enjoy a Saturday off before the playoffs begin next week.
"We would come back because we would have a day off, might as well do it here at home with the families," said Cassidy. "It's not that far a trip, so we would go back Sunday if we start Monday...guys would be wearing the same suit for six days and the same pair of underwear, so I have a feeling we're coming home."

29 Years for Donny D
The B's also celebrated head athletic trainer Don DelNegro, who is retiring after 29 years and over 2,000 games.
"Twenty-nine years is a long time with an organization, he's a special person, and it's well deserved," said Bergeron. "It was a big win for him as the last of the regular season at the Garden for him."
The B's congratulated DelNegro with a video tribute during the first TV timeout - which included shoutouts from former Bruins Zdeno Chara, David Krejci, and Milan Lucic - and was given a standing ovation by the TD Garden crowd. After the game, the players lined up to hug DelNegro and took a photo with him at center ice to mark the occasion.
On Thursday morning, the team and players gifted DelNegro a customized golf cart.

Dust Off Your Family Recipes! A South Shore Group Wants Your Help For A Community Cookbook Fundraiser - Block Club Chicago
SOUTH SHORE — A South Side neighborhood group is asking residents to dig into their family’s culinary histories to support a community project and fundraiser.
The Central South Shore Area Council is collecting recipes from residents for its South Shore Community Cookbook. Conceived as a way to connect South Shore residents together through their individual culinary legacies, the cookbook will also feature photos of South Shore and the dishes themselves.
People can pre-order a cookbook for $20. Checks should be made payable to the Central South Shore Area Council. The council can be contacted for check pickup from South Shore residents. Money from the fundraiser will go toward printing the cookbook and supporting the Central South Shore Area Council.
“We were trying to come up with some ideas for fundraising, and we thought, ‘What’s a better way to connect them through food?’” said Linda Young, the president of the Central South Shore Area Council. “We started asking our membership — which is about 100 members — and all the folks who live in South Shore to contribute to our cookbook.”
There’s no limit on how many recipes the organization needs, but the Central South Shore Area Council is looking for at least 25 before the book is designed and sent to printers. The deadline for submissions is May 13.
Past fundraisers have focused on selling flowers and popcorn. Young said she hopes the cookbook will be a popular enough idea that it can be replicated in the future.
“It’s a way to showcase our community,” Young said. “We hope that our neighbors appreciate the book. [We’re] sort of feeling out what really sticks with our neighbors in terms of fundraising. What speaks to them? What do they like the best? We’re hoping that the book is that.”
Those who pre-order a cookbook will receive it at the organization’s Juneteenth event June 18. There, everyone who donated enough to receive a book can pick up their copy while enjoying Juneteenth activities. More information on the event will be shared closer to the date.
Those who don’t pre-order a book by the May 13 deadline may be able to buy one at the council’s Juneteenth event for $30, though availability isn’t guaranteed.
Young said any kind of recipe can be submitted, but some may be left out of the book if there are too many submissions of one dish. In that case, Young will make the final decision on which recipes are kept, as the book’s main editor, she said.
Though the deadline is approaching, Young said they have been struggling to get submissions. So far, the book has at least eight recipes and could use more to have more variety.
“Instead of three recipes from eight people, we would prefer to see one recipe from 20 people,” Young said. “I think it would add more diversity.”
There are other ways to contribute to the cookbook. People also can buy ad space to promote organizations, businesses, services, honorees and in recognition of family events and milestones. A full page, half page or quarter page of ad space are available.
Those looking to donate to the fundraiser, receive a cookbook or contribute to the cookbook in other ways are encouraged to contact the Central South Shore Area Council with their contact information by May 13.

Young hopes the community will see the cookbook fundraiser as not just a way to support the council, but a way to support the South Shore community and preserve its legacy.
“To improve our neighborhoods, it takes effort and resources,” Young said. “We just want our neighbors to understand that [they can] participate, in some way, with our organization, the Central South Shore Area Council, whether it’s to give us your time as volunteers, participate in our fundraisers, or just make a general donation to our organization.”

Julie McConnell with the UF/IFAS Extension Faculty, Horticulture Division, joined NewsChannel 7 Today in studio Friday to provide gardening tips and tricks.
Julie encourages those starting a garden to try foodscaping. Foodscaping allows you to incorporate veggies and herbs into ornamental beds instead of separating out edibles in a dedicated garden. Julie said It’s less intimidating and a much smaller investment for people who want to grow a few things they can eat without totally renovating their yard and can also cut down on pests because of plant diversity.

Tips and tricks for Rogue Legacy 2 beginners - Polygon
In Rogue Legacy 2, you, your heirs, and your heirs’ heirs are all given the opportunity to die by the hands of monsters in a quest for gold and glory — as nature always intended. Now that the roguelite is moving out of early access, we have a few new (and updated) tips to set you on your way. Onward to death(s)!
To save or spend?
After your first run, each new run begins with handing over whatever gold you have left over after upgrades to Charon as he ferries you back to the castle. After hitting level 12 you can unlock The Living Safe that allows you to stash away 10% of your leftovers before you hop back into Charon’s boat. This may lessen the sting of his price a bit — but 90% of that sting is still there!
Try to use as much gold as possible on castle, weapon, or rune upgrades first before paying off Big C — even if that means making a lesser upgrade before the one you really want. You’ll probably have a more successful run in the future, and most of your gold is going to go bye-bye anyway, so you may as well get the most bang for your buck. And remember that Charon is happy to accept zero gold if that’s all you have.
Unlock Health upgrades and Classes first
Very early in Rogue Legacy 2, your primary focus should just be snagging as much gold as you can in your first few unforgiving runs. You’ll start to unlock new perks as you build your castle, but for now keep your focus on upgrading your health and unlocking new classes as soon as you can.

You may find another class that is a far better fit for you than the starting Knight, and having a larger health bar will buy you some time to experiment with your character’s abilities. Try out classes with more range like the Ranger or versatility in attack direction like the Valkyrie. You might be shocked by how much you enjoy playing as a lowly Cook and his surprisingly useful frying pan.
After that, take a look at unlocking the various NPCs that you can interact with on the dock, like the Blacksmith and Enchantress. Once those characters are available, you’ll need to start paying attention to other attributes — like equipment and rune weights or your level of resolve — but there’s no need to worry about them early on when they won’t even apply to your runs. Speaking of…
Learn to use the Architect
One of the characters you’ll unlock as you expand your castle is the Architect, an older gentleman who’ll join you on the dock. The Architect has the ability to lock the dungeon rooms in place as you last encountered them … for a price.

This can be extremely useful, especially if you’ve discovered a boss or a challenge and want to take a run at with a fresh character. If you only made it to an Estuary with your last sliver of life left, have the Architect lock the world into place and then transport directly to your goal instead of starting over from scratch. Just don’t expect to hold onto too much gold if you need to use him more than once or twice in a row. His prices won’t stay reasonable for long.
Keep an eye out for secrets
As challenging as some rooms may seem, it’s good to be as thorough as you can. Once you’ve cleared out a space, take a few extra seconds to double check for any cracks in walls.

If you come across these areas, use Magic to blast your way in and claim your treasure! While not super common, it’s a nice reward for taking a moment to look for details. You’ll usually be caught up with larger goals, but five extra seconds in a room might net you a few hundred extra gold!
That being said…
All that glitters is not gold
When choosing your heir, you’ll be faced with a variety of randomly generated options — their class, spells, talents, and any other randomized heirlooms that will come along with them. That may also include traits that can handicap your run with the tradeoff of a higher percentage of gold collected.

Stick with the 25-50% bonuses. Usually these traits won’t be terribly annoying and can even be downright funny. Once you start seeing 100-200% percent bonuses, though, you’ll be wasting a run unless you’re at the absolute top of your game.
That being said, sometimes the laughs that Rogue Legacy 2 provides are worth it, and you just need to see what your Myopic, Colorblind, one-hit-kill Mage is really capable of!
Challenge yourself
There are two challenges that you’ll come across early in the game — the chance to gain either Ananke’s Shawl or Aesop’s Tome — and you should definitely try to conquer these as soon as you can.

The Shawl is particularly useful, as it allows you to use your dash maneuver in the air as well as on the ground, giving you more options in battle, as well as opening up parts of rooms that might otherwise be inaccessible.
The Tome allows you to access tips from the glowing blue orbs and other helpful spirits you see scattered around the world. But, to be totally honest, there don’t seem to be many “puzzles” early on that are so confounding that you won’t be able to crack them on your own.
Bonus Tip: Smash everything!! (Except the things you shouldn’t!)
Almost everything — chairs, tables, books, lanterns, chairs, candles, and (obviously) enemies — is smashable in Rogue Legacy 2, and there’s a good chance it’ll give you a coin or two when you destroy it. But don’t smash all the lanterns in a room that appears to only have lanterns or crates. At least not until after you take a look as to what they might be making accessible to you when you jump on top of them.

Dr. Dana Sumpter Discusses the Top Tips for Employees, Especially Working Moms, Returning to the Office This Year
Employees are facing many challenges as they return to the office, especially working parents and caregivers. The first is how returning to the office can impact scheduling. Going back to the office means creating new routines, which can impact an entire household. There is also the challenge of uncertainty. The continued uncertainty around childcare, schooling, health protocols, and more, can completely disrupt a work routine and make it difficult to integrate back into the office.
One suggestion from Dr. Sumpter? Be very clear about your availability. During the pandemic, many employees became accustomed to being “constantly available,” which is unsustainable in an office environment. It’s important to be proactive in regard to what you want your work hours to be and be clear with co-workers about when you need to take some time for yourself.
Companies and organizations can also take the lead in helping their employees successfully return to the office. The first thing they can do, is keep their finger on the pulse of how employee re-entry is going, which means listening and paying attention to how their employees are feeling. It’s also important to consider employees’ holistic needs. Employers can demonstrate they care about employees holistically by upping their support policies and structure opportunities for people to connect.

Enterprise SEO Buy-in: 7 Essential Tips For Winning The Long Game - Search Engine Journal
Have you ever felt like your team has a million great ideas, but is held back by the challenges in getting the buy-in required to just get things done?
It’s a common hurdle in enterprise SEO, where the sheer scale of initiatives and approvals required can threaten the success of even the best ideas.
In this column, you’ll find tips that will help you bridge the gap between SEO and the rest of the business to drive growth strategy based on my own experiences of having to overcome in-house objections.
Earlier in my career, I was plagued by this feeling that SEO was undervalued; that we had so much potential but lacked enough buy-in to get traction.
There were always older SEO ideologies in play that simplified what SEO was all about.
When I took my first SEO leader position, I still had that same outlook.
Despite our success, I couldn’t figure out why we couldn’t get the support we needed.
That all changed with this one piece of advice that I continue to live by as a leader: “Stop talking about SEO.”
Believe me, when I first heard that I was taken aback.
What do you mean, stop talking about it? It’s what we do.
But they were right. If we couldn’t tie SEO into specific business goals – the macro benefits – our program would never reach its potential.
They were right, and it changed my outlook on how I led and represented the SEO team.
With that change in mindset, my SEO career also progressed way faster than I had ever imagined.
Here are 7 ways our team lives by that mantra and now achieves far more substantial growth in our organic search program as a result.
1. Improve Your Understanding Of The Business
It’s easy to keep your head down and stay hyper-focused on what you are working on – what impacts you directly.
But without a proper understanding of how your company operates, creates, and monetizes, you will never reach your full growth potential.
Continuously improve your understanding of what you know about the company, and as it changes, change with it.
This can be scary if you switch industries.
As an example, going from a traditional ecommerce to a lead generation or ad subscription business requires a shift in mindset and an appetite for learning the ins and outs of what that actually means.
I started out in the steel industry and am now in automotive, and there is a very real learning curve in switching verticals like that.
Don’t be afraid to set up some time with business partners to go over their areas and how they contribute to the business, and how success is measured.
2. Learn More About What The Business Finds Important
Once you understand the business, it is essential to understand what executive leadership and cross-functional teams find imperative.
That means understanding the overarching business OKRs down to the team-level KPIs. Understanding these begin to prepare you for how you will achieve success.
KPIs can vary and may not be traditional ones you are accustomed to, such as visits and revenue.
If you are leading a content-based organization, you may find that you need to implement metrics that show the true value of your product, such as market share, scroll depth, video plays, or lifetime value.
3. Simplify. Simplify. Simplify Again.
You can have the most fantastic idea ever, but good luck if you show up to a meeting with senior leadership with a 30-slide deck about all the SEO tactics you want to use.
Put the information into a cohesive story that answers who, what, why, and how – the most important being the why.
Why would we do this?
All of the great information you gathered about how you’ll execute can live happily in the index and if a question arises, you still have everything you need.
The more you interact with your leadership, the clearer their expectations and which material resonates with them will become.
Never be afraid to reach out and solicit feedback to help inform your next pitch or presentation.
4. Don’t Be Afraid Of Projections
It will always be challenging to get buy-in for SEO work if you never show projections.
As SEO experts, we’re often hesitant to make projections.
But you know what? We shouldn’t be.
No one in your organization knows SEO better than your team. So if anyone is to make the projections, it should be you!
SEO is not a mysterious black box that we don’t understand.
While there are factors and SERP features out of our control, we have so many tools, data, and other resources that putting rough projections together shouldn’t be difficult.
You don’t have to reinvent the wheel, as there are many SEO articles about forecasting.
This gets you the C-suite buy-in and also gives your partners in Marketing, Product, Engineering, etc., a valid argument to pick your work up in a world of forever-competing priorities.
5. Don’t Get Defensive
There are often questions about SEO, especially when it adds complexity to or delays other types of work.
Before you get defensive, take a step back and look at it from someone from the perspective of someone who doesn’t live and breathe search.
Take the time to build relationships with your partners and look for opportunities to educate and give them some background.
It may seem time-intensive but over time, in-house partners with an excellent understanding of the basics become your most loyal SEO advocates!
This is no different from joining a new company, learning their business plans, and becoming an advocate for those plans.
We have seen much success with this strategy, and that can start by establishing some best practices documentation starting with the basics and continuing to add to this library. These can also be great to have when new team members join.
Our partners know to reach out to us with any questions and have an open dialogue around SEO and where we can compromise or achieve precisely what we would like.
6. Know How And When To Prioritize
Not every SEO initiative is equal, and your work isn’t always the highest business priority in each sprint.
As an SEO leader, you need to recognize when to die by something and when it’s smarter to compromise.
We are all working toward the same result and by refusing to prioritize and compromise, your relationships and trust begin to deteriorate.
Whomever you work with, share a prioritized list with KPIs so you can quickly help prioritize that against other work.
7. Socialize And Share Success
No enterprise SEO team is an island.
Louder again for those in the back: no SEO team is successful alone.
SEO at the enterprise level becomes increasingly complex with factors like content, Core Web Vitals, user experience, brand reputation, conversion, lead quality, information architecture, and more all in play.
We can’t specialize in it all.
Our company has an amazing Product, Engineering, UX, and Analytics team equally responsible for driving success.
We are one team working together and specializing in our respective areas, which creates compounding success and gives everyone a sense of pride in what we have built for our consumers.
This is a great model for any product-led organization.
Final Thoughts
Enterprise buy-in does not happen overnight. But by beginning to take initial steps toward the outlined above, you are well on your way!
Stay focused and don’t get discouraged, as longevity is critical to the viability of your organic program.
Understanding your business should be the first step and can help inform the next steps for buy-in.
These tips are great whether you are an individual contributor communicating with your manager or a rising leader communicating with executive leadership.

I taught my cocker spaniel to play hopscotch — and it's his 'hardest trick yet' - New York Post
More like a hopper spaniel.
A dog owner claims her cocker spaniel could be the first pooch in the world to master hopscotch.
Emily Anderson, a 31-year-old dog trainer, has captured her precious pup Leo playing hopscotch.
She’s already taught 3-year-old Leo to paint with a brush, perform CPR and play tennis, but this trick makes him the king of the dog park.
“It was the longest it’s ever taken me to do anything,” Anderson told South West News Service. “It was a couple of months. It’s definitely the most difficult one I’ve done with him.”
In an attempt to teach him his “hardest trick yet,” Anderson — from Aberdeen, Scotland — bought discount store hopscotch numbers while looking for supplies for his painting skills. Gradually, she added numbered mats every week as Leo caught on.
“It was a set of 10 number mats. I never even thought we’d get to 10 — I just planned to get to five or six because we were struggling for so long,” she said. “But once he had the sequence of feet and limp, he got into the rhythm of it.”
She captured the amazing trick on video, which has amassed more than 270,000 views and 16,100 likes on TikTok alone.
“The first time I recorded it and saw it back, I thought, ‘What the hell?'” she told SWNS. “I didn’t think it was possible but yet again, he’s amazed me.”
She said she’s never seen another dog play hopscotch like Leo does — moving on his own rather than on cue — inferring he could be the first.
“This is one most dogs can’t master because it’s really hard. I have searched and I haven’t seen another dog do it the way Leo does it,” she said. “I think an Australian shepherd does four [numbers], so only half of what Leo does.
“Leo can do it without the cues now. He’s just, like, ‘Shut up and let me do it,'” she joked.
At first, Anderson uses a clicker, meals and treats to train her perceptive pup new tricks, although she’s cut back on the treats.
“We train so much, if he had treats all the time it’d make him sick. He mainly works for his meals,” she said. “It’s a really fun way of using his daily food allowance.”
Since going viral on TikTok with Leo, Anderson’s impressed followers have been asking for her dog training techniques. This trick in particular has caused her inbox to overflow with messages — “more than a normal video,” she said.
“People have been asking how we do it. I never thought we’d get it as good as we got it,” she continued. “I’m always looking for new ideas and Leo is definitely at his happiest when he’s learning something new.”
“He just loves it. It makes him so happy,” the proud trainer added.

To do the Stim trick, activate Stim just before you’ve finished using a consumable. This allows you to negate the damage usually obtained from the Stim tactical, and receive a small speed boost. This may not be the most efficient trick in the middle of a fight, but when trying to retreat from a tough battle, the Stim damage cancel can be extremely useful.
