Here’s Everything Coming To UK Netflix In March
Though the most recent government announcements have us feeling like the end of lockdown is nigh, we still have a while to go before we get back to regularly scheduled programming. We still have plenty of evenings left on the sofa, meaning we're all going to need something to keep us entertained. Thankfully, with the arrival of a new month comes a slew of new Netflix content, including films, thrillers and even a sitcom or two.Last month, audiences binge-watched the time-jumping TV series Firefly Lane, the final instalment of the Lara Jean love story To All The Boys 3 as well as the black and white drama Malcolm & Marie. This month, the big hitters look to be in the documentary category, with a film charting the life of one of hip hop’s biggest stars, a sporting series about college athletes and an in-depth investigation into a news scandal that rocked the entertainment industry. If none of those treats takes your fancy, fear not; Netflix also has a string of reality TV shows, standup comedy specials and family-friendly films to keep you occupied this March. This month the Notorious B.I.G enters the fold, with a new doc charting his journey to becoming one of the most influential hip hop artists of all time. Created in collaboration with the late rapper’s estate, the film will stitch together archive footage with new interviews with family and friends, discussing Biggie’s life and death in honour of what would have been the icon’s 50th birthday year. Now she’s heading for the Gen Z space with her new movie, MOXIE. When a shy 16-year-old gets fed up with the behaviour of some of her fellow students, she decides to follow in her mum’s (Poehler) footsteps and publish an underground zine calling for feminist action. Based on the novel by Jennifer Mathieu, MOXIE is all about how to inspire a revolution while making friends along the way. These people are now getting their own reality TV show in the form of Marriage or Mortage, in which couples decide between spending big bucks on their nuptials or buying bricks and mortar. In the same style as A Place In The Sun: Home Or Away, the show has two judges (one pro-wedding, the other pro-mortgage) battle it out to convince the couples that their way is best. Set just as England prepares for war against Germany, the film sees Edith Pretty (Mulligan) hire an amateur archaeologist (Fiennes) to dig up the burial mounds on her property.
