Sportsbooks still have France (+430) as favorites. Didier Deschamps’s side finished top of their group despite winning one game, and Paul Pogba is looking like the player they will lean on to win this tournament.

Sportsbooks rank Switzerland (+12000) as the least likely team to win Euro 2020; now Austria and Wales have been eliminated. A win here will see them face Croatia or Spain in the quarterfinals and Belgium, Portugal, or Italy in the semifinals.

FRANCE POSSIBLE STARTING XI

France Euro 2020 Last 16 Starting Lineup - Kylian Mbappé, Karim Benzema, Antoine Griezmann, Paul Pogba, N'Golo Kanté

France comes into this game with a host of injury problems. Ousmane Dembélé’s tournament is over after injuring his knee against Hungary, and he is expected to be out for 4 months.

Lucas Hernández was replaced at half-time against Portugal by Lucas Digne after injuring his knee. The Everton left-back injured his thigh after 7 minutes and was replaced by Adrien Rabiot and has been ruled out for this game. Hernández is a big doubt meaning Rabiot could continue as the makeshift left-back.

Marcus Thuram felt pain in his abductor, and Thomas Lemar was helped off the pitch with an ankle injury during a recent training session. Both are doubts for this game.

Corentin Tolisso will continue at right midfield in the Blaise Matuidi role. The Bayern Munich midfielder will tuck in to support Pogba and N’Golo Kanté in central midfield. This allows Kylian Mbappé to stay high on the opposite flank and gives him complete attacking freedom.

Deschamps will restore Benjamin Pavard to the starting lineup with Jules Koundé dropping to the bench.

SWITZERLAND POSSIBLE STARTING XI

Switzerland Euro 2020 Last 16 Starting Lineup - Granit Xhaka, Manuel Akanji, Xherdan Shaqiri, Breel Embolo, Denis Zakaria, Remo Freuler

Vladimir Petković has no such worries with all of his 26 man roster fit and available.

I would drop Haris Seferović for Denis Zakaria and go with three central midfielders. The Borussia Mönchengladbach player is defensively sound, great on the ball, and has a great passing range. Standing at 6’3″ with incredible pace, Switzerland would benefit from him anchoring the midfield.

Steven Zuber will continue at left wing-back after providing all three assists in Switzerland’s 3-1 win over Turkey.

FRANCE VS SWITZERLAND BETTING TIPS

Despite France’s injury problems, the central core of Hugo Lloris, Presnel Kimpembe, Raphaël Varane, Kanté, Pogba, Antoine Griezmann, and Karim Benzema are all fit and firing. They should have more than enough depth to win this game, and I think -182 is a really good price.

BETTING TIP: France Money Line -182

France’s attacking trident Mbappé, Benzema, and Griezmann will cause Switzerland problems all game. Back them to score in both halves.

BETTING TIP: France To Score In Both Halves YES +175
