Rewards up to $30,000 offered for tips about Brian Laundrie's whereabouts - New York Post

Rewards totaling $30,000 are now being offered for information that helps authorities track down Gabby Petito’s missing boyfriend, Brian Laundrie.

Jerry Torres, who is a neighbor of the Petito family, initially offered $5,000 for any tips that lead to the arrest of Laundrie, who vanished days before the discovery of Petito’s body in Wyoming.

“Law enforcement is working tirelessly and they need your help,” he wrote on Twitter.

The reward, however, was raised to $10,000 in part from help from Steve Moyer, the former deputy chief of police for Sarasota, Florida.

“Money gets people to talk,” Moyer told CNN affiliate WZVN Friday.

Boohoff Law, a personal injury law firm, announced last week that it was also offering $20,000 for “information leading directly to the exact whereabouts” of Laundrie.

“The authorized reward will remain open for two months starting from the receipt of the tip by the investigating law enforcement,” the statement said, the Sun North Port reported.

“We believe by offering a reward, it may help law enforcement get answers and bring justice for Gabby,” Kate Shakira, an employee at the firm, told the Sun. “We have been in touch with law enforcement about this reward.”

Petito went missing last month while on a cross-country trip with Laundrie — and her body was found in a remote Wyoming campground on Sept. 19.

Laundrie returned to the couple’s North Port home without her on Sept. 1, refused to cooperate with authorities and now is the subject of a massive manhunt.

The FBI on Thursday announced that a warrant has been issued for his arrest on charges of unauthorized use of a debit card and bank accounts after Petito’s death.
