STATEN ISLAND N.Y. -- Halloween is coming up quick, stores like Target and Walgreens have already begun stocking up on the spooky merchandise. Including everyone’s favorite part, the candy.
Either you like to research what candies you’d like to pick up for the trick or treaters, or you just buy your favorites and hand those out.
Of course theres also the third option where you’ve gone to Target during the last week of September to find out they’ve already begun selling the big variety bags of candy. Naturally, you pick one up thinking you’ll save it until Halloween...but it never lasts in your house that long, and you’ll have to go again next week to pick up a new bag.
Using Google Trends, Zippia researched which states searched which candies most frequently. So if you’re traveling out of New York state this Halloween and happen to go trick-or-treating in West Virginia, you might find yourself with a lot of candy corn at the end of the night.
