An iPhone hack was revealed that allows users to send text messages that flood a recipient with emojis.

A user on TikTok posted a video that showed the step-by-step instructions on how to access the emoji hack, a relatively obscure setting that many users may not have realized existed.

Users of iPhones can go into their Messages app and type in any number of emojis into a new message. Then, if a user taps and holds the send button, which has an upward facing arrow on it, a menu will appear.

That menu will display a series of options in how the message will be displayed to the recipient. Different effects can be applied, like slam, loud, gentle or invisible ink.

At the top of the menu, users can also toggle over to try the screen effect, which will create miniature messages that flood the recipient's screen when they open the message. 

The special effects can be applied to messages with emojis and regular text.

The hidden message menu does require users to have the latest iOS software installed.
