Wilson, N.C. — A third-grader from Wilson Christian Academy looked more like a Harlem Globetrotter in a recent basketball clip making the rounds on Thursday.
Carter, a third grader at the academy, attempted a shot with his back to the basket, flinging the ball over his head, off the glass and into the basket.
The crowd erupted and the announcers were elated with Carter's theatrical shot.
"He's gonna do it .. he's gonna do it ... OHHHH! He hits it!" said the announcer.
Carter made the shot during halftime of the WCA boys' varsity game, as a third grade class played each other. With that kind of accuracy, Carter could suit up for the Chargers in a few years.
