WNBA fantasy and betting tips for Tuesday - ESPN

Each day of the WNBA season, our team of fantasy and betting experts breaks down every game on the slate, making note of everything from injuries and lineup changes to recent trends and more.

All odds are provided by Caesars Sportsbook.

Here's what to look for during today's slate:

Connecticut Sun at New York Liberty
7 p.m ET, Barclays Center, Brooklyn

Line: Sun (-7)
Money line: Sun (-320), Liberty (+250)
Total: 157 points

Ruled Out: DiDi Richards (hamstring), Jocelyn Willoughby (knee)

Fantasy need to know: Courtney Williams and DeWanna Bonner are both set to make their season debuts for the Sun. The return of Williams and Bonner could significantly impact the fantasy value of DiJonai Carrington, who averaged 11.5 PPG, 5.0 RPG, 2.0 APG and 1.5 SPG in 31.5 MPG over her first two games. The Liberty also will be without two players, including Jocelyn Willoughby. This could open up some extra time for Michaela Onyenwere (88.2% available) who has averaged only 16.8 MPG this season.

Atlanta Dream at Indiana Fever
7 p.m ET, Gainbridge Fieldhouse, Indianapolis

Line: Dream (-1)
Money line: Dream (-110), Fever (-110)
Total: 158.5 points

Questionable: NaLyssa Smith (ankle)

Ruled Out: Tiffany Mitchell (personal reasons)

Fantasy need to know: Rhyne Howard scored 33 points in her most recent game against the Fever and continues to dominate in her rookie season. Nia Coffey (67.5% available) also has stepped up, flirting with a double-double in two of her four games thus far including a 14-point, 6-rebound effort Sunday. Aari McDonald (85.9% available), last season's third overall pick, has quietly averaged 15.5 PPG off the bench in her last two outings.

Queen Egbo (66.7% available) remains one of the more impressive rookies to start the season. She has averaged 10.3 RPG, 5.3 PPG, 2.3 BPG, 2.3 SPG and 1.7 APG in her last three contests. If NaLyssa Smith is limited or unable to go, Egbo could have an opportunity to produce in the middle. Emily Engstler (79.7% available) is another rookie with upside on Tuesday. Engstler has played only 14.2 MPG, but her production has been very efficient. She is on a double-double pace per 30 minutes. In the Fever backcourt, Danielle Robinson (83.4% available) and Destanni Henderson (84.7% available) have both flashed with at least one good game this season, and could take advantage while Tiffany Mitchell is out.

Best bet: Dream (-110). The Dream have won three of their first four games and are tied with the Mystics and Aces for best record in the WNBA. The Fever have played better than expected, but are 2-3 and have the worst defensive rating by a solid margin. -- Eric Moody

Washington Mystics at Dallas Wings
8 p.m ET, College Park Center, Arlington

Line: Mystics (-1.5)
Money line: Mystics (-125), Wings (+105)
Total: 162 points

Questionable: Natasha Cloud (conditioning)

Ruled Out: Elizabeth Williams (not injury related)

Fantasy need to know: While Natasha Cloud cleared protocol, she is questionable for Tuesday's game. Rui Machida (98.8% available) has started the past two games for the Mystics and produced eight points, seven assists and four rebounds in her most recent game against the Wings. If Cloud sits again, Machida could thrive. Alysha Clark (63.2% available) played in her first game since 2020 and had nine points, four rebounds, a block and an assist in 20 minutes. She will likely remain on a minutes restriction, but has upside if she maintains her starter status.

Isabelle Harrison (available in 65.9% of leagues) has played at an elite level the past two games. She has averaged 16.5 PPG, 8.0 RPG, 2.5 APG and a combined block/steal per game in road victories over the Mystics and the Liberty. Teaira McCowan has only played six and 10 minutes in her first two games, scoring eight points and grabbing five rebounds in those 10 minutes. Kayla Thornton (available in 85.3% of leagues) has also played well on the frontline, flirting with double-doubles in two straight games. She averaged 9.5 PPG, 8.5 RPG, 2.5 APG, 1.5 3PG and 1.0 SPG in those contests. -- Andre Snellings

Best bet: Over 162 points

These teams played less than a week ago and scored 180 combined points. Both teams rank among the bottom half of the league in team defensive rating, with the Wings 8th allowing 103.0 points per 100 possessions and the Mystics next-to-last allowing 104.4 points per 100 possessions. -- Snellings

Phoenix Mercury at Las Vegas Aces
10:00 p.m ET, Michelob Ultra Arena, Las Vegas

Line: Aces (-7.5)
Money line: Aces (-350), Mercury (+280)
Total: 170.5 points

Ruled Out: Kiah Stokes

Fantasy need to know: The Aces look to win their second game against the Mercury this season Tuesday night in Phoenix. Vegas has the best pace (100.5), highest offensive rating (108), and the seventh-highest defense rating (97) in the WNBA . A'ja Wilson, Kelsey Plum, Dearica Hamby, Jackie Young and Chelsea Gray are among the top fantasy options for the Aces.

Wilson has averaged 36.3 fantasy points per game and is capable of contributing in multiple statistical areas. Plum has also been superb this season, scoring 33 or more fantasy points in three of her past four games. She is tied for third in the WNBA with 13 made 3-pointers, and is shooting 52% from beyond the arc. While Hamby has averaged 14.8 PPG and 11.8 RPG this season. Young has also been very productive, averaging 30 fantasy points per contest. Gray has been under a minutes restriction to start the season due to an ankle injury. She has still averaged 9.8 PPG, 2.0 RPG, 4.5 APG, and 1.0 BPG. If you need a streamer, consider Riquna Williams (75% available). She scored 14 points in her season debut on May 13 and will likely see her role increase as her conditioning improves.-- Moody

Best bet: Over 170.5 points. There will be a lot of scoring between these two teams. The Aces lead the league with 90.8 PPG and the Mercury rank third scoring 84.7 PPG. -- Moody

Minnesota Lynx at Los Angeles Sparks
10:30 p.m ET, Crypto.com Arena, Los Angeles

Line: Sparks (-8.5)
Money line: Sparks (-440), Lynx (+340)
Total: 160.5 points

Questionable: Olivia Nelson-Ododa (hip)

Ruled Out: Rae Burrell, Kristi Toliver (suspension), Damiris Dantas (foot), Natalie Achonwa (hamstring) and Napheesa Collier (personal)

Fantasy need to know: Sylvia Fowles still remains Minnesota's best fantasy option. She had her 182nd career double-double against the Chicago Sky Saturday, . Jessica Shepard is also a good option. She has averaged 26.0 fantasy points per game this season. Sheppard should continue to play an important role on the Lynx while Damiris Dantas, Natalie Achonwa and Napheesa Collier are out. Aerial Powers should also continue to be used in lineups. -- Moody

Best bet: Sparks -9.0. The Sparks rank fourth in pace, so I expect them to push this game. It's hard to imagine Minnesota succeeding defensively. The Sparks should be able to cover the spread. -- Moody
