The tale of the Bugatti Chiron is almost over. The legendary Bugatti supercar, the successor to the Veyron, is entering its final units. To mark this occasion, Bugatti have made a special limited edition Chiron and Chiron Pur Sport. This not only honors the Chiron itself, but also the daughter of Ettore Bugatti, L’Ebe. Hence, the name of this special Chiron, the Bugatti Chiron L’Ebe Edition.
A Special Final Bow For The Chiron
L’Ebe had perhaps the most insight into the story about the rise of Bugatti than anyone else. Ettore even hid his own initials “EB” into her first name, so she would not have to forgo the Bugatti surname even after marriage. And now, she is further honored with this hugely special Chiron edition.
The special touches start almost instantly. The Chiron has character lines dedicated to the Bugatti Type 57 G Tank that won the Le Mans 24 Hours in 1937. On this Chiron, those lines are beautifully accented in gold, and they look incredible against the exposed blue-tinted carbon body.
More Special Bugatti Touches
Gold highlights adorn the EB badging on the car, as well as on the horseshoe grille and parts of the engine cover and wheels. Bugatti has added extra touches too, with L’Ebe's signature subtly tucked on the underside of the car’s rear spoiler plus the tread plates, and it is also hand-stitched onto the headrests of the seats.
The interior of the car mimics the exterior, with exposed blue-tinted carbon visible almost everywhere, with a light versus dark theme. The door panel is predominantly in silk leather, along with Lake Blue highlights. The passenger side of the car reverses the color scheme as well.
Rounding Out The Chiron’s Story
Each door panel of the special Chiron features a motif of the visual evolution of Bugatti’s most iconic cars, from the early Grand Prix racers to machines such as the EB110, the Veyron and of course the Chiron.
We first saw the Chiron of course back in 2016, and its 3.0-liter W16 quad-turbocharged engine set the standard when it came to supercar engines. Just three of these special Chiron L’Ebe editions are on the way, and they mark a dramatic end to production of the Chiron in Europe. The Chiron L’Ebe and a Chiron L’Ebe Sport are already delivered, and the last one will follow at the end of the month.
