Here's what to look for during Wednesday's slate:
Minnesota Lynx at Atlanta Dream
7 p.m. ET, Gateway Center Arena, Atlanta
Line: Dream (-4.5)
Money line: Lynx (+160), Dream (-190)
Total: 156.5 points
Ruled out: Tiffany Hayes (knee), Natalie Achonwa (hamstring), Moriah Jefferson (quad), Damiris Dantas (foot)
Fantasy need to know: The Lynx (2-7) travel to Atlanta to take on the Dream (5-3). Minnesota lost to the Los Angeles Sparks on Sunday. With 79.2 points per game, the Lynx are ninth in the league in scoring. Despite this, Minnesota ranks fifth with 35.6 rebounds per game and sixth with 19.4 assists per game. The Lynx rank 11th in defensive rating (107.1). The Dream are coming off a huge win over the Phoenix Mercury on Sunday. Despite ranking 11th in offensive rating, Atlanta leads the league with a defensive rating of 90.9.
Aerial Powers, Sylvia Fowles, Jessica Shepard and Kayla McBride are the top fantasy options for the Lynx. Fowles has scored 30 or more fantasy points in six out of nine games this season. If you need a streamer, Rachel Banham is available in 99% of leagues; she should see more playing time with Moriah Jefferson out indefinitely because of a left quadriceps strain. The same goes for Evina Westbrook.
Among the must-start fantasy options for the Dream are Rhyne Howard, Cheyenne Parker and Erica Wheeler. Howard has lived up to her potential as the top pick in this year's WNBA draft. She has averaged 31 fantasy points per game this season. If you need a streamer, then add Aari McDonald, who is available in 85.7% of leagues. She has averaged 9.4 points, 2.6 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 1.0 steals in 24 minutes per game. Don't overlook Kristy Wallace, either. She has scored 20 or more fantasy points in two consecutive games and is available in 95% of leagues. -- Eric Moody
Best bet: Under 156.5. Right now, these are two offenses that aren't clicking. This isn't going to be a high-scoring game. The total has gone over in only one of the Dream's past four home games. I'm taking the under. -- Moody
Indiana Fever at New York Liberty
7 p.m. ET, Barclays Center, Brooklyn, New York
Line: Liberty (-5)
Money line: Fever (+170), Liberty (-200)
Total: 164 points
Ruled out: Bria Hartley (hamstring), Betnijah Laney (knee), DiDi Richards (hamstring)
Fantasy need to know: As the Fever (3-8) head on the road to take on the Liberty (1-7), two of the WNBA's bottom dwellers square off Wednesday night. We watched the Seattle Storm handle New York on Sunday. This was the Liberty's six consecutive loss after winning the May 7 season opener over the Connecticut Sun. As a team, the Liberty rank last in offensive rating (85.4), while ranking seventh in defensive rating (103.2). New York ranks last in field goal percentage (39.1%) and near the bottom of the league in RPG (33.4) and APG (18.0). Meanwhile, the Fever have a rare back-to-back. Indiana lost to the Washington Mystics on Tuesday night. Indiana has allowed 90 points to its opponents in five straight games, which is tied for the fourth-longest streak in league history. The Fever rank ninth in both offensive rating (98.1) and defensive rating (106.4). Indiana does not shoot the ball well, ranking 10th with a field goal percentage of 41.3%.
Natasha Howard and Sabrina Ionescu continue to be the top fantasy options for the Liberty. This season, Howard (27.5) and Ionescu (27.9) have been leading New York in fantasy points per game. Betnijah Laney had a solid start to the season but is expected to miss several weeks because of a knee injury. Laney has averaged 23.8 fantasy points per game this season. Fantasy managers who can wait for her return should stash and hold. Don't overlook Han Xu (available in 90% of leagues) if you need a streamer. So far this season, she has averaged 22.5 fantasy points per game.
Kelsey Mitchell, NaLyssa Smith and Victoria Vivians are the top fantasy options for the Fever. Mitchell has scored 20 points or more in seven of Indiana's 11 games this season. Since returning from a sprained right ankle, Smith has averaged 26 fantasy points per game. Vivian's ability to collect counting stats makes her highly valuable in fantasy. Her averages are 12.2 PPG, 3.8 RPG, 2.5 APG and 1.2 SPG. From a streaming perspective, consider rookie Emily Engstler. She has averaged 29.6 fantasy points and 28.6 MPG over her past three games. Engstler is available in 65.1% of leagues. -- Moody
Best bet: Fever +5. The Fever are 5-4 against the spread this season as an underdog. Indiana, despite coming off a rare back-to-back, is one of the youngest teams in the league and should have enough energy to cover the spread against the Liberty. This season, New York is 0-2 when the favorite. -- Moody
