As we near the spookiest night of the year, here is a reminder for all our ghouls and goblins eagerly awaiting their candy without fear!

Trick-or-Treating in the City of Middleburg Heights will be held on Monday, October 31st from 6-8 p.m. 

Keep these tips in mind to help ensure your children have a healthy and safe Halloween.

• Plan costumes that are bright and reflective. Consider adding reflective tape or striping to costumes and trick-or-treat bags for greater visibility.
• Make sure that costumes are short enough to prevent tripping, entanglement, or contact with flame.
• Look for “flame resistant” on the costume labels. Wigs and accessories should also clearly indicate this.
• Avoid any sharp or long swords, canes, or sticks as a costume accessory. Your child can easily be hurt by these accessories if he or she stumbles or trips.
• Make sure your child’s costume does not hinder their vision and that they use caution while crossing streets.
• Please be sure to extinguish any open flames before going in for the evening.

Please be sure to wave to our police officers as they drive through the neighborhoods on Halloween ensuring a fun and safe evening.
