As the year comes to an end, we find ourselves looking back at everything that 2022 had to offer—especially when it comes to food!
And if we're talking about the top trending recipes of the year, then TikTok has absolutely got to be a part of the conversation. Just thinking about all the appetizing recipes that surfaced on the platform this year alone is enough to make our mouths water. (Remember that TikTok star who went viral for creating the most popular recipes from each of the 50 states? Or what about those butter boards that took social media by storm?! We rest our case.)
With all this talk of trending TikTok recipes, you're probably feeling inspired to take a look at the app and find some goodies yourself. But if you're intimidated about the endless scrolling, don't worry! Google has chimed in, and released its annual Year in Search based off data collected from the past year. The report included TikTok's top trending recipe searches of the year.
Without further ado, here are the top trending TikTok recipes of 2022:
1. Cinnamon roll
2. Pink sauce
3. Grinder sandwich
4. Green goddess salad
5. Cowboy caviar
6. Marry me chicken
7. Salmon rice bowl
8. Pot roast
9. Mexican rice
10. Crab rangoon
Taking a look through this list, it's hard to grasp that some of these trends happened just this year. Where has the time gone?!
But before we digress, there were definitely a few noteworthy recipes that made this list. Cowboy caviar, as you remember, had the internet in a tight grip for quite some time (and still does!). The salsa dish, also referred to as "Texas caviar," is a great party appetizer that has similar components to our beloved pico de gallo recipe.
We're not too shocked to see that cinnamon rolls made the top of this list. It's a snack that we can enjoy allll year long. And that pot roast? We're already cheffing it up as we speak!
And in honor of crab rangoons making this list, we present to you this viral TikTok featuring the dish... đ
So, tell us: Were any of these top 10 TikTok trending recipes on your feed this year? How many have you tried? Or better yet, which ones do you now want to try?
