Woolworths has announced a raft of changes to its mobile offering, linking the service to Everyday Rewards to give members extra discounts at Woolies as the cost of living surges.
Woolworths Mobile has officially rebranded as Everyday Mobile from Woolworths, with new plans and discounts available, including 10 per cent off a Woolworths shop every month.
According to the fine print, members can claim 10 per cent off one Woolworths supermarket transaction up to $500, with a maximum saving of $50 per Everyday Rewards card, per month. That works out at a maximum saving of $600 per year on groceries.
More changes
Other key features of the rebranded service include:
-
10 per cent off 5G SIM-only plans every month
-
Access to no lock-in contract plans, starting at $25 a month
-
The ability to gift or save unused data - customers can gift and receive up to 50 per cent of included data across the range of plans, plus, save any unused data in the Data Bank for use at a later date
-
A network covering 98.8 per cent of Aussies (using parts of Telstra's 5G, 4G and 3G networks)
While the service's cheapest SIM-only plan was previously $25 for 22GB, it's now $40 for 55GB (essentially an additional 11GB for free).
Meanwhile, prepaid 30-day plans start at $25, and prepaid long-expiry plans start at $100.
Recoup your costs
Head of Everyday Mobile for Woolworths James McMurrogh said the service would pay for itself if customers took advantage of the discounts on offer.
"Our rebrand to Everyday Mobile from Woolworths brings our service into the Everyday Rewards family, helping members unlock even more value," McMurrogh said.
"With our mobile plans starting from as little as $25, together with 10 per cent off a Woolworths shop each month, these savings can help members recoup the cost of their plan."
