England pacer Tymal Mills on Saturday claimed a unique hat-trick against Welsh Fire while playing for Southern Brave in The Hundred. The left-arm bowler took all three wickets by bowling slower ones which probably happened for the first time in any form of cricket.
Mills' hat-trick came off the final three balls of the Welsh Fire innings as Ben Green, Haris Rauf and David Payne perished to slower deliveries.
Mills' haul of four wickets for 13 runs off 20 balls helped Southern Brave bundle out Welsh Fire for a paltry 87.
Chasing a modest target of 88 for victory, Finn Allen ignited the Brave's innings with a rapid 31 runs from 22 deliveries.
Devon Conway, the fellow New Zealand opener, contributed 35 runs, playing a pivotal role in securing the nine-wicket win with a comfortable 41 balls to spare.
