A fan of God of War Ragnarok has discovered a helpful trick after playing the game for 35 hours. God of Ragnarok is one of the highest rated games of 2022, and it also won several awards at The Game Awards event on December 8. God of War Ragnarok won the award for its narrative, music, and accessibility features among others.
Since its release, God of War Ragnarok fans have pointed out various details that are hidden throughout the world. As an example, a God of War Ragnarok player recently pointed out an interesting detail that possibly hints at a major twist in the game. Users can find other similar instances online, and one fan now shares a neat trick they discovered after playing the game for 35 hours.
A Reddit user named heisenberg_82_WW has found a clever way for players to fully heal Kratos and fill up the rage meter without much effort. According to the post, Kratos fully regains both HP and rage whenever he activates a mystic gateway otherwise used to travel between the nine realms. This is incredibly useful since users may be low on either HP or rage after a big boss fight, so this tactic allows them to continue exploring without having to worry about dying. Heisenberg_82_WW mentions that they only discovered it after playing God of War Ragnarok for around 35 hours.
Other fans mention that they often used this trick in their playthrough, with one vouching for its usefulness on the Give Me God of War difficulty. Some players used it to help with the Berserker boss battles in God of War Ragnarok, but one gamer only found out about it after getting 100% completion in the game.
Aside from the critical acclaim, God of War Ragnarok has also been a massive hit for Sony Interactive Entertainment. Sony confirmed that God of War Ragnarok sold 5.1 million units within the first week of its launch, making it the fastest selling first-party launch by PlayStation. By comparison, 2018’s God of War sold 3.1 million copies in its first three days, though the game has since sold over 23 million units across the PS4 and PC versions.
God of War Ragnarok is the final game in the Norse saga of this long-running series. Developer Santa Monica Studio considered making Kratos’ Norse adventures into a trilogy, but it ultimately decided to finish the story in two games instead of three.
God of War Ragnarok is available now on PS4 and PS5.
