Trick Williams: I’m Super Excited For Carmelo Hayes, He’s A Phenomenal Talent - Wrestlezone

Despite their heated rivalry, NXT Champion Trick Williams is excited for Carmelo Hayes.

Trick Williams scored two wins over Carmelo Hayes to cement himself as the face of NXT, and he then beat Ilja Dragunov to win the NXT Champion. Hayes, a former WWE Champion, moved from NXT to SmackDown in the 2024 WWE Draft.

In a SmackDown digital exclusive, Trick Williams was asked about Carmelo Hayes getting drafted.

“I’m super hyped, super excited for Carmelo Hayes, he is a phenomenal talent,” Williams said. “As everybody knows, he is him. However, I do think it’s extremely bold to call out Cody Rhodes your first day on the job. But hey, do what the people told you to do, whoop that trick.”
